The Youth Rehabilitation Center was built in the Gaziantep province in Southeastern Turkey, which receives high levels of migration from eastern provinces. Child labor, street children and substance abuse among youth were found to increase in recent years and the need for a center to rehabilitate, support and educate these young people became apparent. The center was designed with the multi needs of rehabilitation in mind and is now operated by the Municipality of Gaziantep to rehabilitate substance addicted children and to provide them with vocational education. It remains an important example in Turkey as the first center of its kind and has a capacity of 120 people and covers an enclosed area of 2,649 m² (28,512 ft2).
With the support of FİBA Group A.Ş., the center staff has undergone 6 months of training by a team of medical experts and psychologists from the USA specialized in establishing rehabilitation centers in different parts of the world.
